Nancy Carolyn Apple born, July 11, 1943, in Little Rock went to be with her
heavenly father Monday, February 7, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her father Carroll R Posey, Sr. She is survived
by her mother, Nancy Christina Posey; her loving husband of 43 years, Gordon
Lee Apple; siblings, Dolores Burns (Bill) and Carroll Posey Jr. (Cindy);
daughters, Mitzi Shaw, Kimberly Mahon, Audra Pearson (Shane) of Olympia,
Washington; grandchildren Kyler Shaw, Ashley Mahon, Adrian Shaw (Terrence
Davis), Tiffany Mahon, Zayn Smith, Micah Smith, Logan Peason, Kenneth Mahon,
Lauren Pearson; 12 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
She was a lifetime member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church where she was
active in The Senior Citizens, The Gleaner Sunday School Class, and the
Adult Choir where she was frequently a featured soloist and group member.
Her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her church was known by
all she encountered. Nancy never met a stranger and shared her faith at
every opportunity.
To all that knew her, Nancy's creativity was evident in her passion for
crafting, sewing, and making of mementos. She was enthusiastic about giving
her creations away and saw this as a ministry of planting in the lives of
others. Her favorite color, orange, means enthusiasm, warmth and joy. Nancy
was all of those and more.
Nancy's favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 17:17: "A friend loveth at all
times." One of her many favorite sayings was, "Put your brain in gear before
your mouth in motion." You always knew where you stood with Nancy. She had
the biggest smile, the most beautiful skin, and the best sense of humor. Her
name meant "gracious one."
She loved plants and had a green thumb. To say that Nancy broke the mold is
an understatement. There is no one like her and no one is going to be able
to take her place in her family, church, and community.
